Major Responsibilities:
· This position oversees all employees and functions of the Software Quality Department.
· To develop and implement Quality Assurance/Control Systems and processes as well as acquire Quality certifications that ensures the production and deployment of Defect Free Services and Products.
· The position will ensure that goals are set and that the mission of the department is communicated clearly to all its members. It is the sole responsibility of this position to intervene when situations escalate. This position will also provide guidance and coaching to all subordinates.
· To analyze the current state of the Quality Department, understand needs and prioritize activities to support strategy while satisfying short term needs
· To develop an effective and Team Oriented structure for the S/W Quality function and proactively support in the Recruitment & Selection of resources
· To identify development needs of employees, prepare development plans and manage their performance
· Managing and allocating resources based on severity
· Analyze customer satisfaction surveys and develop suggestions for Improvement.
· Periodically Perform Quality Audits for the SW Development Cycles and Code to insure compliance with the set standards.
· Train team on documentation of processes and Test scenarios
· Communicate the status of SW Projects to all involved departments through email or phone contact.
· Create and manage Internal Release Notes (i.e. what bugs where pushed, what was fixed, how many new bugs were created).
· Review written test scenarios and processes.

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job duties:
Primary Duties:
Plays a key role in the development of a framework for all application software testing within the department.
- Identifies and documents standards indicating how the verification and validation activities of the software quality control process fit into the software development methodologies used
- Develops or contributes to the development of standards and templates for the design of test plans.
- Contributes to, reviews, and (for certain projects) may have an approval role with respect to test plans created.
- Develops or contributes to the development of the SW development of standards and methods for test execution.
- Designs forms, worksheets, and other aids with respect to the testing process.
- Develops or contributes to the development of standards and methods related to software defect identification, classification, reporting, and analysis.
- Develops or contributes to the development of standards and templates for the reporting of test results.
- Collects and analyzes statistical data on defects by category and frequency (across all departmental application software development and maintenance projects).
- Analyzes the effectiveness of the different types of testing (may conduct post-implementation reviews).
- Uses testing statistics to pinpoint areas of weakness in the software development process, and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Assists in the definition of software quality targets for software development and maintenance projects.
- Makes recommendations regarding the training needs of departmental or user staff with respect to the software quality control process.
- Provides advice and support to departmental or user staff with respect to the software quality control process.
- Review the deliverables and output from the quality control engineers.
