Country Manager Cash Operations

Job description / Role

As the Country Manager for Egypt, the candidate will be responsible for all facets of COD operations across the country, encompassing managing of operational as well as financial work and teams across the country.

The candidate will with the help of the Global Manager Cash Operations develop the detailed COD policies and processes for the country in line with the Company’s global standards and lead the on-ground implementation. This shall include identification of operational risks in the current systems and recommendation and execution of improvements aligned with global policies.

The candidate shall further be required to manage the complete financial reporting of the COD Operations in the books, as well as undertake the project to investigate and fix the existing COD books.

This position requires outstanding analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The person in this role must be self-motivated and have the ability to interact and work along with the Global Management based at UAE Headquarters. For the purpose it is mandatory that the candidate in addition to being fluent in Arabic, has excellent English language skills.

Requirements

• Lead The Country Team: Supervise and regularly train the Cash Operations team across the country to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Treasury Management: Supervise smooth and accurate client cash collection and payment across the country as per Company policies.
• Control and Risk Management: Identifying control weaknesses and designing and implementing detailed Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safeguarding of Company cash.
• Work with stakeholders to achieve complete segregation between Company cash with that of the clients, ensuring absolute protection of all client cash with Fetchr.
• Modernize the treasury management by implementing better mechanisms for cash deposit and payments so as to mitigate risks associated with current physical cash transfers.
• Accounting and Financial Reporting: Responsible for accurate accounting of all COD accounts in the financial statements, as well as their monthly closing.
• Manage The Banking Relationships: Evaluate banking and cash management options to enable seamless movement of funds.
• Working On Special Projects: Lead as well as collaborate with multiple stakeholders on various other important projects assigned on a case to case basis.
• Evaluating Tax Implications, Including VAT and Customs Duties: Working with Company’s Finance and Tax team to evaluate the applicability of taxes on COD Operations in the country (Withholding etc), as well as understand and design the the tax collection structure for import VAT and customs duties once the country starts international business.

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, along with a professional Accounting qualification (ACCA / CPA etc.) / Master’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with team management experience. Treasury Management experience is a strong advantage.
• Some experience at a Big 4 firm preferred.
• Experience of working in Egypt as well as internationally is an advantage.
• Strong leadership capabilities and solution orientated.
• Need a positive attitude, attention to detail, patience, and persistence.
• Possess an analytical mindset with excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Possess confidence, structure, and energy in communication to effectively convey ideas to colleagues, senior management, and external parties.
• Must have experience of working along with top tier management.
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent English language (speaking and writing) and fully proficient in Arabic.
